Book An Eye Examination

As you may be aware, optometrists are entering job action as of September 1st – if you are wanting to book a OHIP covered, non-emergency, full eye exam or partial exam, unfortunately we are not able to see you at this time. This impacts primarily our youth and seniors, as well as those with medical conditions, such as diabetes. If you have any questions, please visit for more details.

Your eyes are your window to the world and you should have them checked regularly. These exams are not only important to ensure your glasses are working correctly, but also to help prevent and treat any health problems that may arise. While your eyes help you see the world, they can also help us see what’s going on in the body. Conditions like cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and even diabetes can be detected early through eye examinations.

Children should be checked on a regular basis as well. With all the growth spurts they go through, their eyes can change very quickly from year to year. This is why we recommend annual checkups for children. And just to remind you, any child under the age of 20 is covered by OHIP every year.

To make certain your eyes are both seeing well and healthy we are fortunate enough to have Dr. Nicholas Rempel working in the office next to us. Dr. Rempel offers appointments throughout the week as well as one Saturday per month.

Mondays 10 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursdays 1 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Fridays 9:40 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Select Saturdays 9:40 a.m. – 1 p.m.

If you would like to book an appointment, please call us at 519-472-2250 during business hours.

If you have any questions about the optometrists and the job action starting September 1st, please visit for more details.
