UPDATE: As of November 23, 2021, the Ontario Association of Optometrists will be placing their official job action campaign on pause, with the goal to reach an agreement with the Ontario government by January 31, 2021.
If you would like to book an eye exam please give our office a call.
As you may be aware, optometrists are entering job action as of September 1st – if you are wanting to book a OHIP covered, non-emergency, full eye exam or partial exam, unfortunately we are not able to see you at this time. This impacts primarily our youth and seniors, as well as those with medical conditions, such as diabetes. If you have any questions, please visit saveeyecare.ca for more details.
Your eyes are your window to the world, and you should be regularly checking in to promote and maintain good health, as well to prevent and treat any health problems that may arise. Conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes can be detected early through eye examinations.
We encourage annual checkups for children as their eyes can change quickly from year to year during growth spurts. A comprehensive eye examination is covered by OHIP once a year for persons under 20 and those 65 and over.
To help facilitate our community, we are fortunate enough to have Dr. Nicholas Rempel working in office. Dr. Rempel is currently accepting new patient’s and offers appointments throughout the week as well as one Saturday per month (chosen at random).
